Tire size for Virgo 15' wheel on 240 wagon? 200

We have three 240's currently running 15" wheels. One is lowered, two are not. If you'd like, I'll send you pictures. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you may be more concerned about appearance than speedo readings or final drive gearing. I know I am. A few MPH on the speedo can be lived with as long as you know about it and I'm not drag racing so final drive ratio is not really an issue either. I have Virgos on my lowered 245. I went with 205-60's because they fill the wheel well which is what looks right in my opinion. Since the Virgos were made for the 240, there are no rubbing issues out back except when heavily loaded, entering a very steep driveway at an extreme angle (very infrequent). Our '85 244 is running sirrius rims with 195's on them. The amount of wheel well showing looks so silly I'm thinking of putting the old corona's and 70's back on the car, though I may lower it instead. Just imagine what it would look like with 185-60's. These rims are made for 7-series and I believe there is more positive offset. When I had them on my lowered wagon, average driveways would get them rubbing the tires on the inner fender well. Virgos don't have the same problem even with the 205's. We have a Bertone with Enkeis on it that have the same offset as the virgos. Also running 205-60. The car is not lowered, but the tires go further toward filling the wheel wells. With the lower roof line, this is important to the appearance.

Of course you can put 70 series 15" tires on your rims, but with the wider rims they will look too narrow and they will probably be much too tall.
