compressed air through breather box..? not a good idea?? Its a 230FT.... 700 1989

Ouch...those blue clouds I'm leaving behind me when the engine is in vacuum are really getting to me...

In my bout of insomnia last week, I accidentally overfilled the oil by around a half liter. ( whoa, I was tired). My oil separator box was probably on the verge of needing replacement or flushing before an oil change, so now it's really punched.

I pulled off the PCV hoses and there was some nice sludge in there. I just changed the oil a month ago (synthetic 5w30 for the cold) so I'm hesitant to pour a bottle of engine flush throught the breather box and then spend another $40.00 on new oil.

I was just wondering if anyone's tried blowing low psi air through the box in hopes of clearing it up enough to last another month or two.....I tried blowing through it with a hose and it's pretty plugged ( a nice mouth full of oily air came back at me when I stopped blowing, yuck).

I lost my nice warm garage to work in so it's a -10 .C outdoor work environment for me. That's why I'm trying to do a quick-fix on the street , without changing the oil again.REmoving the inny manifold and breather box to clean it would be a finger-freezing job. I've been there and REALLY don't want to do that. Dammit, where are the "rent-a-garage" businesses when you need them....?!?

When I think about it, it could probably put a little too much pressure on the engine seals, Oil pan gasket and the like. Maybe this is a bad idea....

Any input??

Thanks!!
