Head replaced and running quietly 700 1990

While I was prepping the deck to recieve the new head I noticed the water jacket passages were blocked with rust/crud. I vacuumed out everything within reach and got the passages in good clean condition before I bolted up the new head.
Today I completed the coolant system flush procedure found here: http://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/Cooling.htm#DrainingEngineCoolant

Repeated the prodedure (5) times and never quite got clear water on the drain side. The drain water got much clearer with each repeat but I want my new head to have optimum coolant conditions.

Question:

Has anyone has ever used one of the chemical flush kits to get at all the crud you can't see? Please advise.

Thank You,
Tony

ps Many thanks to everyone who responded to all my cries for help while I was lost in the driveway!!! Today I went for the test drive and she purrs like a kitten!
