740 (1990) instrument cluster

I'm curious if the 1990 Turbo cluster will work on the non-turbo model.
The boost gauge seems the only difference. For some reason there are plenty of turboos for sale on ebay.
My current speedometer is still cutting off while having a clear signal. Turning the heat on helpsmost of the time restoring it. Does this indicatre a bad solder joint?
