oil light flickering 700

First of all; Merry Christmas to all...

So now for the problem... I have a manual '90 740 turbo with 210k on the clock. Seems to run well, but when RPM's get over 2500 the low oil pressure warning light has been flickering on and off. When I let off the accelerator and slow down the engine RPM's the light will stop flickering and go off. This has only happened a few times, but would rather get this figured out sooner rather than later. Any ideas on what this could be would be greatly appreciated. I have about a 100 mile trip tomorrow and would rather not seize the engine if possible.. Thanks
