240 wagon antenna 200

On the 1993 240 wagon, is the radio antenna supposed to be retractable? The antenna on mine is black and non-retractable. Not a problem unless taking the car through a soft cloth fabric type of carwash, where cloth strips and spinning cloth wheels scrub the grime off. There is a warning on this carwash to retract all antennas. From experience with another vehicle, I know this is necessary to avoid a broken antenna. Where are retractable antennas available for the 240 wagon?
