How bad is too much automatic transmission fluid? 900

'93 945T.

What degree of "bad" is too much automatic transmission fluid?

I had a leak from some automatic transmission fluid hose under the car (just under the oil filter). I tightened the clamp and fixed the leak, then checked the level of automatic transmission fluid, it was low. So I added a quart. Now the level is really high, maybe 3/4 of an inch above the "maximum" line. In fact, it's slightly above the yellow dipstick and is on the metal part.

This was a week ago, I've driving it for maybe 100 miles since that time. I'll drain out a half quart this weekend and see where I'm at but was just wondering how bad the current situation is. That is, have I caused damage?
