steering shakes when turning after new rack install & adding fluid 200 1986

i installed a rebuilt steering rack, pretty much lined up the tires, turned the wheels left and right to get the air out and then added fluid.

a) but my steering still shakes when i'm turning, not like the effortless turning as before or in my 92 245.

b) as i speed up the steering doesn't shakes less.

no leaks, my front end alignment seems ok, but will have it checked later. can't be my tires because new & balanced earlier this month.

questions:
1) something i missed?
2) front end aligment out that bad?
3) need more time to get the air out of rack?
4) pump was fine before and never ran it without fluid
5) could the p/s belt be too tight? seems ok when i depress on the belt.

don't know the symptons, first time on installing rack.

thanks again,
