Can anyone settle the '95 960 debate?? 900

Hello, If it was me I would snatch it up in a heart beat. I just put my Mom in a 95 with 174,000 miles on it. She travels up and down the east coast, 31,000 just last year on her 97, 960 with never a let down except a faulty thermostat in the winter of New York. It met its demise last year with my Mom driving, my dad sitting in the pass. side and a Honda hit her at 60 mph on the right front corner. That car had 198,000 miles. My Mom was shook up but my Dad was still eating his McDonalds hamburg. The air bags never deployed because I had them dissconected. My Mom sits too close to the steering wheel.
I would replace the fuel filter, spark plugs with the Volvo three prong plugs, timing belt, idler pulleys, water pump, heater control valve, thermostat, over flow or expansion tank, radiator, coolant, change the oil in transmission and engine and power steering, clean the throttle body and check out the rest, vacuum lines, battery, tires, brakes, control arm bushings. Clean the engine, give the car a good wax and vacuum and let it give you some great service. My 96 wagon has just over 260,000 miles it uses two quarts of synthetic oil every 5000 miles, still gets 26 miles to the gallon on the highway, drives great and I have only repaced the rear brakes in the last 48,000 miles. You can't get any better than that. Plus you will not believe the ride. Way better than any 240 ever could be.
If you can't do the service yourself, find a good independent repair shop familiar with the 960's, but the best advice is to learn how to do it yourself.
