'DID I FRY MY ECU' 200 1984

I recently replaced my engine wiring harness on my 1984 Volvo 240 GL and messed up by crossing two wires that had the same plug ends. One was suppose to go to the air idle control valve and the other to the throttle switch. My car started up just fine, but the idle was out of control. I disconnected the control valve and that brought the idle back to normal. I replaced the control valve and the throttle switch hoping that was the problem, but it was not. Any help here would be appreciated.
