Re-positioning engine, to install new motor mounts. 200 1986

My brother and I are working on replacing some old, tottaly worn out/broken motor mounts on our 240/86 171k. We've already taken out the splash guard, drained the oil, and jacked up the engine enough to take the oil filter out.(it was already that off center.) We haven't taken the mounts off yet because we're pretty sure we're going to have to re-allign the engine..So the question, is there a diy way of moving (re/alligning) the engine, so that when we go to put the new mounts on, everything will be in place. Other points, I think we need to move the engine in two directions, maybe a little foward and toward the passenger side.. Also should we try to do any of this before we take off the old mounts? Thankyou for any suggestions and help.
Thanks.
