Thats interesting, the stock size on the 740ti is 195/60/15. There are now plenty of low profile (Wide) snowtires being made. In fact I just bought some Hankook ipike snows in 195/65/15 (work as good as my Hakka Q's and not as squirmy) and when I asked about a skinnier tire they said that is the skinny one. I was just looking for some experience, maybe I'll have to check another board.
