OBD codes and no idle, then car runs fine -- what the ?? 200 1993

93 245 141K The check engine light came on about a week ago (car ran fine), I needed a new pipe and rear muffler so I went and had that done. Drove the car home from the muffler shop and it ran fine. At home I was getting codes 2-3-1, 2-2-1, and 1-1-3. Tried to reset the OBD codes and couldn't, even with disconnecting the negative terminal (tried it twice).

Started the car up this morning and it wouldn't idle ( had to keep feathering the gas until it warmed up. Strong gas smell as well) Drove about 15 miles with it running like crap (hesitating and rough idle). On the way home the idle went back to normal and it ran great again. Got home and checked the codes and got the same thing. Tried resetting the codes and it worked perfectly the first time (get 1-1-1 now). Check engine light is off, car runs great! Any ideas? O2 sensor or the wiring to it? Electrical gremlin? Anything else?
