Control arm bushing Drama 200

After purchasing all the hardware to replace the controla arms and bushings I went home to start the job by installing the front bushings into the new arms. Low and behold I found myself in the same situation as I when I replaced the torque arm bushings. This time it took a sledge hammer and a peice of railroad tie to get them in.

My question is I noticed after that I had bent the outer rim of the bushing and the rubber had cracked a bit on the edges. Is this a problem?
