'68 122 Dash Light 120-130

I have a '68 122 wagon. On the dash (not gauge cluster), just above the wiper switch, is a rather large (larger than my overdrive light) idiot light. It's red, and without a chrome bezel. It came on yesterday, and has stayed on since. The two wires that connect to it come directly out of the wiring harness. I'm such an idiot, I don't know what it's indicating! Everything seems to run fine. Don't have a rear window defroster (heard some 220's had them). Though I have dual circuit brakes, the fluid level is fine. My friend is convinced it's a global warming detection device :-)
Any idea on what this thing may be connected to?
Your expertise would be greatly appreciated, as it really bothers me to drive with a red light glaring on the dash. It even bugs me to drive with the red OD light on!
