What causes a gas tank to be pressurized? 200 1979

My new 242 with 406K miles has an odd phenomenon where when I go to fill it up, the gas tank lets off a whole lot of pressure when I open the gas cap.

What would cause this? I've never experienced this before in any of my other 240s.
