Bigger Alternator? 140-160

The E should have a 55A. Both are Bosch.
Bryan,
I think you're on to something. The "Green Book" shows a 55 amp alternator for the B20E and F, but it is the SEV Marshall. I haven't pulled the alternator yet to make absolutely sure what it is I have in there, but from when I had the engine out, I seem to recall that it was a Bosch, and, on the basis of Haynes and the "GB", which only mention 35 amp Bosch alternators, I assumed mine was 35A. The regulator is definitely Bosch. If I upgrade to 55A and can't find a Bosch and have to go to a SEV Marshall, would I have to change to the Motorola regulator?
Thanks,
Bob S.
