Fuel Mileage - MPG - B230F - 740 Wagon 700 1992

Cousin John, I consistenty get no less than 22-25 mpg around town and higher
on the highway. I'll get closer to 25 mpg when I don't push hard on the pedal.
This mileage is at 5200' plus in Denver. I too have an 86 740Wagon auto with 222K,which still runs strong. I keep 10W-30 weight oil in and have also added
"Restore" at oil change over the years and have no oil burning on the exhaust.
(The Restore seems to give it more push - unless it is a mind game - see manufacturer claims.) In some ways I like the comfort of the seats more than my newer 97 and 99 850/70 series wagons. Unfortunatly I smashed my 97 on Christmas Eve with
expected repairs of 4-5K for the entire right side messed up. Ouch!!
