okay, because one man couldn't do the baseball bat thing alone, i rolled one side of my fender the old school way -mostly with a hammer (& an occasional round oak block).
since the car will get a repaint in the next year, chipping anything isn't a real concern. i primered the entire lip and will Por-15 everything to hold me over.
at least, there is no more RUBBY RUBBY, SCRAPE, SCRAPE.
what i did worked good, but a more appropriate tool wouldda helped. opted to use a "regular" hammer, which did the job but took forever.
definitely not new too tools, my hammer knowledge is lacking.
when i went to Sears, there were several types of 3 lb sledges with different style heads (drilling, engineers, and another).
i bought a cheap, but very versatile (because of the tight space), short handled 3lb drilling hammer to go over & clean up the fender lip i did.
plus, i need to get the other side.
can anyone tell me about the different style heads, faces, and features.
