Removal of heater core hoses into temp assembly? w/pic 200 1991

First of all, thankyou to everyone whose responded to my posts on the heater core subject, i appreciate your time and patience. I've recently snipped the two wires i was recently posting about(from heater unit to fan control), but now i'm having some trouble removing hoses. I'm having trouble with the intake? hose that goes into the temp control assembly. This is the hose on the bottom right of the drivers side that comes from the engine? and goes into that little temp asembly.
I guess you don't have to know where it is, but i'm wondering if i should move around the heater unit to get better access, or if i just need to muscle it out of there? Any tricks, ideas?
thanks cp

ps The picture is 5/14 on the heatercore1 album.
