Need to repair Shift Position Light, Automatic Transmission 900 1992

The shift lever position light is not working. I removed the cover but could not determine how the starter inhibitor switch is secured to the shift lever. My manuals are no help. If anyone has experience with this switch replacement please tell me how the switch or shift indicator cover is removed. Thanks!
