hesitation on acceleration/carburetor missfires 200 1987

I will appreciate technical/mechanical advise regarding my problem. Upon acceleration, there is engine hesitation to accelerate. There are also times the carburetor conks out and sometimes missfires. When I use the choke to increase the idling, the problem disappears. On high speed, there is no problem. Another problem is the airconditioning, in long queues in traffic and on stand still, it tends to get hot. All there is, is hot/warm air blowing in the vents. In high speed again, there is no problem, the aircon works fine.

My personal assessment is the absence of an idle-up part. Please help me on these 2 poblems.
