Passenger side door lock is messed... 200

Hi,
My passenger door lock is totally unresponsive when I try to lock/unlock the car via the driver's door or the wagon hatch. It will lock/unlock only manually or when the key is inserted in that very door. And when I try to lock the all of the doors via the passenger side there is no response (other than the passenger side door locking).

This is a new car to me so i'm wondering if i'm missing some child lock thingamabob or if there is an actuator or switch that is messed.
It's a '90 manual wagon.
