What is the difference between the 2 radiator overfill bottles? 700 1992

The overfill on my 740 is sort of rectangular and it has what looks like a dual chamber design inside. I have seen new ones for sale that are rounder on the edges, sort of LP gas tank shaped. My question, is the tank I have on mine the way it is (chambered) for a reason, or could I put a new, rounder one on it that is not chambered?
