Water pump 120-130

Alright. All comments very helpful. My car had an add-on AC unit installed years ago. It wasn`t working when I bought the car. I`ve wanted to remove it all along, and now this water pump necessity is providing the opportunity. I`ll probably have the radiator re-worked as well. It has a slow leak at the top hose connector.

The add-on AC utilized two head bolts as a bracket mount. One of my biggest concerns was getting these aftermarket bolts out without breaking or damaging threads. The front one was a bear to get loose and turned kinda hard all the way out. Lots of rust on the threads upon removal. I flushed the holes best I could and applied Never-seez (Snap-On) to the original head bolts that the PO had wisely saved and passed on to me! They went in smoothly and I gradually increased torque to 65 ft-lbs.

I had 2 pumps-one made in England and the other Japan. After looking at some threads on pump quality I opted to order a German pump (GMB I think) from IPD. Should be here next week and I`ll try to fit `er up.
