wider tires? 700 1991

The Just Tires folks are recommending wider tires, 195 instead of 185, for more traction. But it could be that's all they have in stock. They are Kelly Springfields on sale for $70. Any thoughts welcome, especially if you see drawbacks to this. I have an account here but darned if I can remember the details. Thank you.
