I am looking around for a second engine to rebuild while I drive around my new 1990 240 sedan. I had heard that Volvo switched to aluminum blocks but was not able to get specific info about when. Also I heard that there are some differences between the cranks in the 1990's vs. the 1980s. Does anyone have anything to contribute on this?
