544 headlights 444-544

I have a similar set, but basically the same as these. Certainly Hella or other European product would be better, but these aren't bad, although a tad expensive.

If you think you have a wiring problem, by all means fix it first.

If you simply want good-quality, inexpensive lights, use the standard Halogen sealed beams available everywhere. They drop right in.

Changing over to the 'newer' housings like these is also a drop-in. Remember, though, that some of the earlier European headlight housings use a slightly different bulb than the H4, although there are cheap adapters available that will allow you to use the H4 bulbs in them.

Again, one of the advantages of going to Xenon Gas is that you get more light for the power consumption. An 85W Xenon bulb put out the same amount of light as a 100W Halogen bulb. They also seem to run cooler - certainly no warmer - than the Halogen bulbs, so if you have plastic headlight components, there's no problem with high temps.
