760 T project questions 700

I just picked up an '87 760 T today. I got it for $135 from a guy I know who runs a foreign car repair shop. He got it with a bad engine, so he put in a n/a engine from a 740. The car needs a transmission now. Should I just look for one out of a salvage yard? Any concerns about running the n/a engine in this car?

The body and interior are decent. No rust, but the paint is rough. I'm wanting to fix it and get it back on the road. I would have rather rebuilt the original turbo engine, but it's no longer around.
