740 Blower Motor volume 700 1990

I've got a 90 740Ti Frankenstein. It's a college car and I love it and hate it.

Anyway, I have a noisy blower motor and will probably have to replace it. I was wondering how much volume I should expect it to blow. I know that my blower motor is actually damaged (not just noisy), but I'd like to gauge just how much more air it could move. When I run the A/C on max fan(i.e. on a freeway trip) for more than 45 minutes, the fan actually moves less air until it just makes noise and moves no air at all.
My car on 4 (max) seems to blow what my girlfriend's dodge neon (98 and UGH!) blows on 3/6, my mom's 98 ranger blows on 3/4, and my brother's 88 camry blows on 4/5.

I'm trying to figure out how long I can go before I replace it. I don't really want it to totally die because it's been in the 20's this week and last week and I hate waiting for a catastrophic failure to replace something. As for the weather, I'm in California. It was over 110 for two weeks this summer, and now it's in the 20's. Geez I love this environment!
