960 Alternator Replacement (difficult?) 900

I have to replace an alternator on a 960.
i did look thru the Facts and there was not
much on this subject.

Does the alternater need to be pulled to service the
voltage regulater.
If yes, does the powere steering pump need to pulled for acess.
Not sure if I'm going to do this job myself
or send it to a professional.
Appreciate any guidance.
