I bought an ELMSCAN5. Needs to be used with PC that has COM port. A friend had trouble trying to use it with a COM port to USB adapter. It supports almost every protocol you might encounter (there are several). I haven't used it much yet, but for $140 CDN and every protocol, and freeze frame data, and realtime data, etc., I think it's a good investment.
