Charging system woes 140-160

Ok, I ran up to Napa today and they do indeed have a curved alternator bracket in stock. It is a Mr. Gasket universal adjusting bracket Part # 9851 for $12.00.

I can't garantee that it is a direct fit, but should be easily modified to fit the pushrod engines, if not any Red block. Just cut off the pivot end if it is too long and drill a pivot hole were needed.

I will go look at my car this weekend and see if I can find the belt size that goes with it.

The Delco alternator in my '88 Bonneville has over 180,000 miles on it and still works fine. Let's see that worthless Motorola or Bosche do that.

When I find out what belt to use and how exactly to wire up the splices, I will post a seperate message on this subject.
