1999 s70 passing gear trouble

Your car has an electronic throttle, there is no throttle cable or kick down cable. There is a recall on the ETM and it sounds like you are due for new software from the dealer.

Also check the level of the tranny fluid when the tranny is hot. Engine must be running when checking. Wipe the dipstick on a clean paper towel, if it is dark brown it is time for a flush.
