i just went out to the car and checked mine.

no gasket. no leaks.

are you sure fluid is leaving via the cap?

drops, or indication, on the ground? fluid can accumulate inside the boots too.


i dont think the p/s is under super high pressure (for example, i cut into the line to install a magnetic filter, no leaks) so a home made gasket may do the trick.


still, what you describe seems very odd.

i suggest inspecting the entire p/s system.
