drum brake parts 120-130

I'm sure this has been discussed, but,... Well, here goes; I'm doing the "full Monty" on a '64 122 wagon (floorboard, suspension, engine, brakes, etc.)

Of course, despite diagrams, photos and notes, I have managed to get into trouble on the rear drum brakes, specifically the LEFT rear one. It concerns the "spreader bar" which activates the hand brake; these are the Girling type brakes with the
steel,/aluminum 4 sided adjuster, on the outside of the backing plate.
Big question? Are there TWO different bars, or is there one which points in the opposite direction on either side. The little "tang" or curved metal part of the bar points down on the RIGHT, but UP on the LEFT. Did I blow it and lose the correct LEFT one, or am I having a senior moment? The problem is that the way it's currently mounted, the shoes are too far apart to let the drum slide on easily.
Thanks for all of your patience!
