Replacing the vent window rubber 444-544

No, the problem seems to be where the chrome frame interfaces with the rubber seal seated in the door frame. It seems almost as if the rubber area is too thick where it comes together on either side of the frame and meets at the pivot point of the window.

I'm not sure if this diagram really illustrates my point very well, but it's sort of like the rubber seal is too tight and (pinching) the chrome vent window frame. When it's open, there isn't much pressure, but when you try to close it, the further you close it, the more pressure/resistance you put on it.

It's almost as if the seals were cast from a bad mold, so the fit isn't quite right. Out of curiosity, where did you purchase your new seals?
