nissens radiator drain plug 900 1997

I have a 2-3 yr old nissens radiator in my '97 960. The drain plug washer is cracked all around and has a very small leak. I've tightened it but that only makes the washer splay out and cracks widen. Is there a source for a new drain plug with washer or would I have any luck finding that at hardware store. Does the rubber washer have to be special to resist glycol? Thanks
