Volvo leather seats 200

I seem to spend my whole life in this forum these days :)

My 1984 240 DL has a brown cloth interior. Dark brown. I don't mind the color but I really prefer leather, or eventually vinyl seats. More comfortable for me, lets me move around better, looks nicer.

I've seen quite a few 240s online but I've never seen brown (dark brown, not tan) leather seats. Did they ever make them? I pulled parts from a 244 GL from the same year at the junkyard and it had a brown interior, but with cloth seats.

Ideally I'd love to replace my seats with leather ones, or at least the upholstery, but is it futile to look for brown seats? (black is already difficult). I wouldn't mind switching to black but that'd involve more swapping of course, if I found the seats.

Can't afford to buy a sedan with leather seats just to swap'em...
