The dreaded air pump S90-V90 1998

Before you get a new valve check the elbow in the vacuum line that comes off the engine to the check valve (it is a purple line). The elbow cracks and it lets air in and sets the code (do you get the "secondary air pump" code?) I replaced the elbow on my 960 with a small piece of vacuum hose and it has worked fine and not set a code since.

Hope this works out for you!

Mike
