Driving with OD engaged? 200

I had intermittent problems with the OD engaging so I looked at the relay, whose solder was cracked and missing in one spot. I replaced it, and got my OD back and working for 4 days; then the dreaded OD arrow came on and will not go off. There must be a new problem.

I'm hunting down a used solenoid and I'll check the wiring over the weekend. But in the meantime, is it OK to drive around (and to work) with the overdrive engaged?
