It's alive...ALIVE!!! 700 1989

Thanks to all who helped me try to get my 1988 M47 trans to work with my 1989 740. It ran under its own power last Saturday night for the first time since May. The manual is great and a huuuge improvement over the AW71 it had. Now the stereo won't send anything to the speakers and the speedo doesn't work. Oh yeah, the dragging front brake has now seized (something I didn't realize until the smoke started on the test drive.) Oh well. On the plus side, the glove box light started working again, and so did the radio station display, which hasn't worked since 2004. Either way...HOORAY! I have all the parts to rebuild the front calipers anyway since that was next before the transmission went out anyway. With a little luck and above freezing temperatures (the high's supposed to be 23 in Baltimore Saturday) I should have the brakes fixed soon.
