So the thing is i got my 1980 240 running better. It was to the point if i played with it i could get it on the third start. Then wensday morning i went out started it on the fifth try and then went back up stairs to allow it to warm up for ten minutes. I came back out and it sounded like it was hitting on only two or three and was revving to the moon. I jumped in the car and shut it off. I noticed a little bit of smoke (black and smelt like rubber) By the time i opened the hood i saw nothing on fire. My question is what is this connector that is picked on the above link. I ask because it was plugged into the same wire that is suppose to go into my ac compressor even though the connectors aren't the same size. If you cant tell the connector is located behing the intake manifold right above the engine oil dipstick. I was wondering if this is important and what should be plugged in. Thanks for the help.
