Electric? 120-130

Has anyone seen the documentary "Who Killed the Electric Car?" I don't mean to start a discussion about whether the film is accurate, biased, whatever.... A couple times there are qoutes from a fairly young/hipsterish looking guy and behind him is what I think is a Triumph Spitfire GT that he is apparenlty converting to electric (no engine, banks of batteries in place). Made me wonder about the electric possibilities for an Amazon. Looking at the GVW of GM's EV1 (3507 lbs) vs. that of the 122 (about 2500 lbs) it seems like it *could* be possible..... Anyone ever though about or investigated this (maybe idiotic) idea? Yeah, I know "Why not just buy a Prius?" but that isn't the point.
