waterpump change on a 1994 940 turbo wagon 900 1994

Hi everyone,
I am about to attempt to change my waterpump on my 1994 940 turbo wagon. It looks like I need to remove the timing belt cover in order to do this. Am I wrong? I would love to not have to remove this cover if possible. If there is a trick to do this without removing the cover, please share.

Many thanks!
