Speaker grilles 200

Alright, going a bit crazy with this.

A little while ago I bought a pair of Polk db400 speakers to replace the stock speakers in my 244. They are 4". I intended to fit the stock grilles back on top of that. Unfortunately I hadn't paid attention to the fact that the tweeters on those speakers have their own little grilles and stick out too much for the stock grilles. Tried to put spacers, all kinds of things, but it just doesn't work out. I also cut holes in 2 grilles for the tweeters to stick out through, but really, that looks like cr@p, and doesn't fit well either. I have another set of Volvo grilles. Do you guys and gals know of a good way to fit the grilles back on that type of speaker with stick-out tweeters? I've seen those adapters from Metra but I'm not really seeing how that would help (don't think the edges stick out enough for the grilles to snap over despite the tweeters). Or, any source for after market grilles that would look classic enough (I want classic look, and I don't want to see the speakers beneath), would cover the speakers *and* fit in those locations on the door (would probably have to be rectangular, not round)? some mesh-type metal grilles?

Thanks!
