240 turbo-engine pulsates at idle when cold- need diagnosis help 200 1983

Car is a '83 240 turbo. So, it is a B21FT with K-jet fuel injection. This winter, the engine starting pulsating after I start the engine. Worse when whether is colder; i.e., when starts going below about 40 F. You can see rpm and turbo pressure meters cycle up and down. At some point after idling for a while (a few to several minutes), it will abruptly stop pulsating and stabilize. If driven before that happens, the engine runs a bit rough until warmed up, sometimes stalls. Would appreciate any assistance in troubleshooting; especially where to start checking. Thanks in advance.
