rough idle/'bucking' at stop/idle 200

As of late my '93 244 has developed a rough idle, especially when coming to a stop and then while idling. The car idles fine in the morning when I start it, but the first few stops I make the engine seems to want to cut out. Has anyone's car had similar symptoms? I replaced the air box t-stat but that only seemed to make the problem worse. On what areas should I be focusing, then?
Thanks!
