Chris,
If you can find your way through this maze of contradictory statements, you, like Gunga Din, are a better man than I am. My trusty tire comparison calculator refuses to deal with 6.00-15, so I'm unable to compare it with the 225/50-15s. I always thought that 165/70-15 was the closest, and 225/50-15s come as close to having the same circumference as you can get. But Lee says the originals were like 160/78-15, and I have no basis for gainsaying.
