'66 hydraulics to post '67 cable clutch conversion; output flange swap 120-130 1966

I considered this when I put a 71 B20E/M41 into my 67 Amazon. I decided that the modifications necessary to make the cable clutch work up inside the pedal box were too much trouble and I did not want to graft the 1800's box into my Amazon. It's far easier to split the gearbox and motor while they are out and swamp in the clutch and B18 style bellhousing. I did this and it works perfectly. There were none of the bolt-up hole-alignment issues that I was warned about.

Anyway either way you decide to go, be sure you have the correct size thrust bearing for your clutch. I kept the original clutch on my B20E and the B18 clutch fork/bearing would not disengage the clutch - except for about 1" at the bottom of the pedal. I had to pull the whole enchilada and swap my old B18 clutch plate onto the B20 to make it all work. But now it works fine. Lots of "pull" too

I think M40 flanges are interchangeable regardless of the flange diameter. The real issue that I know about is that the splines count and shaft diameters vary between the M41-D, M41-J, and the regular M40. Those are not interchangeable. I could be wrong, but all three of my M40s are interchangeable.
